'THE OTHER' THE ART OF CONFLICT: Stanislavskij's Method |
"The part is not made of words but of emotional background:
That is the hidden part of the actor that must be discovered." Konstantin Sergeevič Stanislavskij Contents This intensive course provides an introduction to the key techniques and concepts of Stanislavskij’s actor, with a hybrid program comprising practice and theory. The awakening of active imagination, a journey in search of organic creation through exploration of the ego, the time-base on which the character's ego will be built. Truth, circumstances, if it's magic, subtext, emotional memory... How to explore psychology in action, develop the actor's creative personal nature and educate his conscience. The legacy of the Stanislavskij method teaches us that every little moment on stage is vital for the development of the story, in a continuous dialogue between internal and external reality, as well as life itself. Methodology For this second level, the path to the other begins. The mystery, the reflection, the desire. Based on the knowledge acquired in the previous intensive course, we will begin to investigate interpersonal action and communication processes, through subtext, towards the art of conflict. Improvisation and creation exercises will be proposed, through the analysis of a text proposed by the teacher. The material will be given directly to the student.
