'THE SELF' TRUTH IN ACTION: Stanislavskij's Method
"Love the art in yourself, not yourself in the art."
Konstantin Sergeevič Stanislavskij
This intensive course provides an introduction to the key techniques and concepts of Stanislavskij’s actor, with a hybrid program comprising practice and theory.
The awakening of active imagination, a journey in search of organic creation through exploration of the ego, the time-base on which the character's ego will be built.
Truth, circumstances, and if magic, subtext, emotional memory... How to explore psychology in action, develop the actor's creative personal nature and educate his conscience.
The legacy of Stanislavskij’s method teaches us that every little moment on stage is vital for the development of the story, in a continuous dialogue between internal and external reality, as well as life itself.
For the first level, the basic tools of the method will be developed: imagination, action, and if it is given circumstances, emotional memory and exploring the triad: I-private, I-creative, I-character.
The actor will have the opportunity to meet and finally overcome the private being, to access his creative part, giving life to the character's bridge.
At the same time, exercises will be offered to improve imagination and manipulate objects, such as channels of access to emotional memory.
