Freedom from our identity allows us to enter the power of PURE ACTION.
The mask can be considered the bone structure of theatre art.
It triggers the subconscious mechanism of mirroring and identification with archetypes.
The mask can guide us to enter into and explore the infinite possibilities of our expressive self.
Being deprived of our identity automatically leads to an expansion of consciousness, and the body reconnects with its expressive potential.
BIO
Michela Kaufmann
Born in Milan in 1996, Michela Kaufmann is a young actress currently living and working in Barcelona.
She has been studying art since the age of 15, and started her acting career at 21.
Dynamic and passionate, she graduated at age 24 and started working as a performer and teacher in Barcelona.
Her first endeavour with masks, was in 2018 working on Jacques Lecoq's pedagogy, which led her to approach Comedy of Art and mask crafting in the summer of 2019 in Versailles, France.
Michela believes that the actor is a full and complete artist, who should aspire to master their expressive talent in all areas of art and life - body, mind, music, crafting, writing, painting, manual work and more.
'My mission is to inspire people by giving art the chance to expand our daily reality, through building a multi-level construct that can allow us to go beyond what is considered to be socially acceptable, beautiful, or useful.
The shape we choose, of our identity, is connected to the service we choose to provide for our collective wellbeing.
So choose as many masks as you want,
and take good care of them.'
Beauty and Art should be available to everyone on a daily basis,
as a way of healing
that can be integrated every day in our urban environment.
