RÉMY MARVELY 15/13 EUROS ON THE DOOR
(one hour before) |
SYNOPSIS
How many times do we have the opportunity to change our lives, and live the one we always dreamed of? Do we need magic to dare to do so? NEW LIFE is the story of a young business executive in search of meaning, who leaves everything to become a comedy magician, after surviving a terrible illness. NEW LIFE invites us to reconnect with our joy of living, our passions and what makes us vibrate. Through life-changing events, he stages tricks of illusions, mentalism and interactive sketches that take us on a journey into our childhood dreams, into a world where everything is suddenly possible. BIO Passionate about the performing arts since childhood, it was not until the age of 35 that Rémy Marvely launched onto the stage after life experiences which pushed him to reconnect with his true passions: laughter and Magic. Rémy is an artist-entrepreneur. Founder of Black Glass Events in 2015, a team building company specialising in corporate evening entertainment, then co-founder of the first French-speaking comedy club in Barcelona (Les Petits Barcelonais - 2019), Rémy Marvely is also a professional actor, radio chronicler and founder of his own school of magic for children and teenagers. |

LAURA FLORES TRÍO 15 EUROS ON THE DOOR
(one hour before) |
SYNOPSIS
SERIOUSLY SPEAKING Laura Flores is an atypical woman in the world of music. Born in Havana, Cuba, and now established in Barcelona, Spain, she’s accompanied by a virtuoso guitarist and a percussionist. Together they deliver a serious, competent, alternative and brave musical proposal. Not stuitable for everybody. What does Laura Flores sing? That’s not an easy question to answer. Her powerful voice, accompanied by exquisite guitar and percussion, voices songs that our parents sang, and many others that we, our generation, have also chanted. She doesn’t sing out of nostalgia. It concerns the encounter between the artist and her audience, through an experience that impacts upon everyone present. Laura murmurs, gesticulates, and all of a sudden there appears a fierceness in her tone that demands an immediate response, arising from the devastating blows of one who has lived the complicated experience of love, absence, distance, and pain. Yes, the pain, that deafening scream that makes sense only from within one’s own flesh. This woman delves deeply into that pain. It’s needed to point out that we find Laura in “The Cave”, that little intimate place that opens up to the exterior, and that takes us back to the proto-word: to that painful “Ay!” that reminds us of someone, not something. That “Ay!” that makes us differentiate people from objects. That “Ay!” is a moan, and it’s pain. It’s through song that we hear the cry of another as an echo through oursleves. The experience of being at one of Laura’s concerts, is feeling that she surrenders to touch us, and bring us compassion through an act of true love, with her strong, enduring, deep and true voice. Finally, in the aftermath of Laura Flores’ concert, we can understand that in life nothing is worth living if we don’t do it with passion and compassion. Thank you Laura! René Loyo Cárdenas. |

PROMETEU(S) 12/10 EUROS ON THE DOOR
(one hour before) |
SYNOPSIS
Is Prometheus a Hero of Humanity? Who decides what knowledge should be given to society and what should be hidden? Why is Prometheus complaining still, if he has decided to secretly deliver THE FIRE from Zeus? Is this "victimism" a strategy to be acknowledged and supported, in constituting a mass ideology? These are the questions we will address within this piece. Created by a group of performing arts students, through the hybridization of different theatrical languages, this work has made us reflect, and we hope that it will not leave you indifferent. ARTISTIC PERSONNEL Original Idea: Júlia Boixader Duñó and Sara Quiñonero Pipó. Based on: Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus. Performers: Gisel Morros, Judit Romero, Jordi Reñé, Pau Sansa, Joana Traveria and Ibai Zunzunegi. |
