MARCH 8th to 14th

8 MARCH 19h
Oráculo Flamenco - vol. 10

Imagen
12/10 EUROS - ON THE DOOR
(begins at 18h)

SYNOPSIS

CORdas is the fusion of the soul and the physical (the body), how a movement, a song, an image can evoke memories, resurrection, rebirth, letting the present be fertilized by the past. A journey through memory, emotions, as all this endures in an underground existence.

But can we trust our memories?
An aroma, a phrase, an image is what usually remains engraved in our memory, but the context is largely a product of our imagination.

CORdas shows us the fusion between the real and the fictitious, how they mix in our minds to build our memories and, in turn, our identity.

VÍCTOR RAMOS & ERIKA PONCE

They are a duo of passionate dancers, knowledgeable of the human being from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective. She, with training in Psychology and he in Philosophy, delve into the depths of being and history through music and dance.

8 MARCH 21h
Arrabalera - TANGO

Imagen
12/10 EUROS - ON THE DOOR
(begins at 20h)
SYNOPSIS

ARRABALERA is a musical tango show with poetry and theatrical improvisations based on the tarot.

Between tangos and poetry, the artist tells us about the “suburb”, that “non-place ... frontier of being ... where the nameless live”, sharing a different perspective on migration. A parallelism between social and political migration and the journey of the Soul, uniting from the most heartfelt tangos that yearning for the pure love of youth, that love for the 'mother', with the search for the Soul for the Beloved, to return to that state of fullness, of completion.

At one point in the show, the artist invites viewers to ask questions about the tarot, to actively participate in this journey of the soul through the world of forms. From the chosen letter, what the artist calls a “Living Oracle” is carried out, that is, a theatrical improvisation, giving voice and body to the question.

GISELE CORNEJO (Argentina, 1983). Actress, singer and tarologist. She is actively engaged in research of ritual and performance art. She created two shows under the direction of María Stoyanova 'The Place Where Diamonds Grow' and 'Iron Woman', inspired by the women of tango and the arcana of the tarot. She works with female archetypes in women's creativity workshops. She is a permanent contributor to the 12-year performance 'Breathing the Mahabharata' by Michael Gadish. For more than 15 years she has been working as a consultant tarologist and giving courses and also continues to train with her godmother Marianne Costa in Tarot and Metagenealogy. Recently she released 'Arrabalera' a tango and tarot show and 'Arkana' a performance inspired by La Papisa del tarot. She is the organizer and creator of Arte Arcano events.

PROGRAM

20: 30h PIEZA DE MUSEO
Celeste Ramos

Pieza de Museo is a chronicle of Almagro's travels through the Andes Mountains. It describes the suffering of the Indians that made this expedition possible. Almagro enunciates the death of these human beings as 'pieces' in his writings. The same name is found in many other chronicles of history.

Those dead, their viscera and skeletons, went on to thicken the anthropological collections of the museums of Europe. A few years ago, the descendants of those victims asked the museums to return their remains for burial. The researchers opposed in the name of science not to part with these 'museum pieces'.

Celeste Ramos has been trained at a professional level in Contemporary Dance at the Institut del Teatre. She directs the Cuerpo Presente: Herramientas para creación. Following up with stage work and body design development. Collaborator with the Laboratory Company.

21h JESUS CHRIST: The Fisherman of Souls
Orland Verdú

Can God die for love? The Passion of the Christ is the story that has most marked the West. Jesus was the black sheep of Judaism. His figure is rarely spoken of because of the revolutionary significance of his actions. He preached unconditional love and lived the message of God in his own flesh. He lived his tragic destiny by rebelling and surrendering himself at last to the Will. 'Forgive them, Lord, for they no not what they do...'.

In the definitive collapse of our era, it is necessary to review the mythical origin of the figure of Jesus. And witness the moment of his life / death / life. Or the Eternal Return of the fish...

Orland Verdú is a physical actor, butoh dance dancer, playwright and director of Oracles Theatre. An uncomfortable and controversial artist, he likes to delve into mythical thought and delve into the latent conflicts of the 21st century. Teacher and pedagogue in Oneiric Theatre, as he calls his method of physical theater and butoh dance.

'Mal de Amor' was born in February 2019 in Barcelona. The work is an adaptation of the famous work 'Rotos de Amor' by Rafael Bruza. Part of the need to understand love and love relationships. Directed by Laura Federico and performed by Benjamin Coelho.

Sebastián Berlanga waits for Diana on the street corner with a briefcase in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other. He looks excited and impatient. What happens when she appears is a mystery.

Every story has sadness. It starts with hope and ends with something that dies. Every story has an unpleasant taste. You start by licking your lips and end with stomach pain. Every story has a horror. It begins with play and ends with the eyes out of orbit. Every story has a failure. Sebastián Berlanga was that failure.
